STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
When a person has a profound emunah (faith) in the truth, that truth becomes an integral part of who they are—shaping their very essence, existence, and being.
As talmidim (disciples) of Rabbi HaGadol Y’hoshua Ben Yehovah, we confess that the following beliefs are true according to the inspired Word of Avinu Elohei, our Father and God.
Your Personal Interpretation:
Each individual is encouraged to study the Scriptures directly and draw their own conclusions about the practices of emunah (faith). We recognize that sincere talmidim may understand some passages differently. These beliefs represent our best understanding of TORAH and the testimony of Y’hoshua at this time, so it is okay to have controversy and differences of opinion. We will not argue with you. We ALL see through a glass darkly (1 Corinthians 13:12). So we humbly state, when our King Messiah comes, His disciples will know; He has 1000 years to straighten us out. He will unite us in perfect truth.

1. ALL SCRIPTURE IS TORAH.
(HIS INSTRUCTIONS)
** The original Hebrew Scriptures are inspired by Avinu Elohei and reveal knowledge that humanity could not discover on its own. We are commanded to live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of Y’hovah.
…to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.
TS2009 — D’barim (Deuteronomy) 8:2–3
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.”
TS2009 — Mattithyahu (Matthew) 4:4
** TORAH in Hebrew means: instruction, teaching. Therefore, we believe that all Scripture is His Instructions, which we call TORAH. (Not just the first five books) The Tanakh and the Brit HaDashah (Renewed Covenant & Apostolic Writings) are all Elohim-breathed, and are valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults, and training in right living; thus bringing life, freedom, and abundance to our worldview. So anyone who belongs to Elohim may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim might be fitted, equipped for every good work.
TS2009 — 2 Timotiyos Bet (2 Timothy) 3:16–17
** The original Hebrew writings of the Scriptures are His truth and are of no private interpretation.
…because no prophecy was ever produced by human will; on the contrary, people spoke from God as they were carried along by the Ruach HaKodesh.
CJB — 2 Kefa (2 Peter) 1:21
** We must neither add to nor take away from Scripture.
You are not to add to what I order you, and you are not to subtract from it…
CJB — D’varim (Deuteronomy) 4:2; 12:32
If anyone adds to them, Elohim shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book.
TS2009 — Ḥazon (Revelation) 22:18
** Though we use the Talmud, Mishnah, Gemara, and Christian commentary as references, these commentaries do NOT have a precedence over TORAH, YHVH's Word. Oral traditions and commentary are not equal to or above the Word of Y'hovah.
But let Elohim be true, and every man a liar, as it has been written, “That You should be declared right in Your words, and prevail in Your judging.” Romiyim (R0mans) 3:4.
Nullifying the Word of Elohim through your tradition, which you have handed down. And many such traditions you do.”
TS2009 Markos (Mark) 7:13.
** Through the Ruach HaKodesh, we are led to all truth.
However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth . . . Yochanan (John) 16:13.
And you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as the same anointing does teach you concerning all, and is true, and is no falsehood, and even as it has taught you, you stay in Him.
Yochanan Aleph (1John) 2:27
Kingdom of Avinu Elohei; His family
** The eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, supreme, all-powerful, creating, ruling, and life-giving Spirit Family is the Kingdom of Avinu Elohei. This Family is one and perfect in character, love, and purpose. Through His plan for humanity, His overall objective is to expand His Family-Kingdom and share His magnificent glory for all eternity.
At present, Avinu Elohei’s Family-Kingdom consists of Avinu Elohei, the Son of Avinu Elohei, Y’hoshua HaMashiach, the heavenly hosts, and His messengers.
Scriptural Witness
“Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!”
TS2009 — D’barim (Deuteronomy) 6:4
And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…”
TS2009 — Berĕshith (Genesis) 1:26
In the beginning was the Word… The Word became a human being and lived with us, and we saw His Sh’khinah…
CJB — Yochanan (John) 1:1, 14
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, from whom all fatherhood in heaven and earth is named…
TS2009 — Eph’siyim (Ephesians) 3:14–15
2. OUR FATHER — AVINU
שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד׃
Shema Yisra’el, YHVH Eloheinu, YHVH Echad — ONE!
D’varim (Deuteronomy) 6:4; Markos (Mark) 12:29
“The most important,” Yeshua answered, “is Sh’ma Yisra’el, Adonai our God, Adonai is one…”
CJB — Markos (Mark) 12:29
** Avinu, our Father, is the sole Master Designer of all creation. He creates through His wisdom and through His Word.
In the beginning was the Word… All things came to be through Him…
CJB — Yochanan (John) 1:1–3
Additional Scriptures:
Proverbs 8:12–31; Revelation 3:14; Colossians 1:15–17.
** Yah is the short form of our Heavenly Father’s name, as found in the original inspired Hebrew Scripture.
Psalm 68:4; Isaiah 12:2; Psalm 118:14
(CJB and TS2009 both preserve “Yah”).
** YHVH / יהוה / 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is His actual covenant Name, the Tetragrammaton, composed of four Hebrew consonants (yud-hey-vav-hey).
“…This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.”
TS2009 — Shemoth (Exodus) 3:15
Additional Scriptures:
Isaiah 63:12; 66:5.
Y’hovah / יְהוָֹה
This is a proposed pronunciation of YHVH using Masoretic vowels for clarity. While the exact ancient pronunciation is debated, we hold to Y’hovah because this vocalization appears in more than 2,000 Hebrew manuscripts, some dating before 800 CE.
None of the modern proposed forms (such as Yahuah, Yahweh, etc.) has ancient, written, or linguistic evidence. The Jewish rabbis have always preserved the pronunciation.
** His majestic Name is exclusive to His eternal Family-Kingdom.
I declare Your Name to My brothers…
TS2009 — Tehillim (Psalm) 22:22
Additional Scriptures:
Yochanan 17:11; Eph’siyim 3:14–15.
** Avinu is the source of all power and authority. All thanks, reverence, and submission are directed to Him. Avinu Elohei is Spirit.
Elohim is Spirit…
TS2009 — Yoḥanan (John) 4:24
Additional Scriptures:
Mattityahu 4:10; 6:9; Colossians 1:12; Ya’akov 1:17; 1 Kefa 2:5.
** All worship is directed to Him through His Son, Y’hoshua HaMashiach.
(John 14:6; Ephesians 5:20.)
YHVH is echad—meaning “one.”
He is not a Trinity, and Scripture does not teach that Elohim exists as three persons. Deut. 6:4. This Greek concept is not found in the Torah or the Hebrew Scriptures.
And you shall know today, and shall recall to your heart that יהוה Himself is Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth beneath; there is none else.
Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 4:39
I am יהוה, and there is none else—there is no Elohim besides Me.
TS2009 Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 45:5.
3. Y’HOSHUA BEN Y'HOVAH
(YESHUA, SON OF YHVH)
** Y’hoshua / יְהוֹשֻׁעַ is the proper Hebrew name of the Savior, given to His Hebrew parents by the messenger of Avinu Elohei (Mattityahu 1:18–25). It is the same name given to Yehoshua (Joshua), son of Nun, by Moshe in (B’midbar [Numbers] 13:16).
The Aramaic name Yeshua was commonly used in the time of the Mashiach and in modern eras.
The Greek name Iēsous was used from the 3rd century until the 14th century. The English name Jesus has been used since the 16th century.
It is reasonable to conclude that the Mashiach was called by His Hebrew or Aramaic name during His earthly ministry.
The name we use for the Mashiach does matter!
Y’hoshua means “Y’hovah is Salvation,” for He is the salvation provided by YHVH for humanity (Ma‘asim [Acts] 4:12).
We joyfully accept the name revealed through our Heavenly Father YHVH and His Son, our Rabbi and Savior Y’hoshua HaMashiach.
Y’hoshua as the Dabar (Word).
** The Dabar (Word) of Avinu Elohei became flesh and became the Messiah (Yochanan 1:14). Before His incarnation, Mashiach did not exist as a separate, literal person but as the perfect expression of Avinu Elohei’s Dabar—His will, wisdom, purpose, and self-revelation.
Any expression, revelation, or vehicle of Avinu Elohei’s will was present with Him from the beginning as His Word. This is not accidental but the unfolding of Avinu Elohei’s own being.
As the Son of Avinu Elohei on earth, Y’hoshua is the Living TORAH / Living Word, the means by which Avinu Elohei communicates His commands and His saving purpose.
Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages, who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high.
Ivrim [Hebrews] 1:1–3).
The title “Son of Elohim” is applied to the One who later became flesh, was begotten, and incarnated (Yochanan 1:14).
Throughout the Tanakh, Avinu Elohei’s speaking, commanding, and creating define His relationship to Yisrael and the world. A God who does not speak—a Wordless God—is no God; and God's Word that is not of divine thought (logos/dabar) accomplishes nothing.
The Dabar existed with YHVH before creation and is therefore eternal, uncreated, and divine (Berĕshith 1:26; Yochanan 1:1–3; 8:58; 13:3; 1 Corinthians 10:4; Colossians 1:15–17).
Proverbs 8:22–36 describes the eternal Word and Wisdom of YHVH, who was with Him from the beginning, rejoicing before Him and delighting in the sons of men.
** Mashiach Y’hoshua emptied Himself of His celestial glory—the glory of the Dabar—and took upon Himself the form of a human servant.
(Yochanan 17:5; Philippians 2:5–7; Ivrim 2:6–14).
** He was born of a virgin through the power of Avinu Elohei.
(Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Mattityahu 1:18, 23; Luke 1:26–38).
** He came in His Father's Name: Yehoshua (“YEHO-shua”), (YHVH-salvation)
(Yochanan 5:43).
** He lived a sinless life. (Isaiah 53:9; 1 Kefa 2:22).
** He was resurrected from the dead by the Father after three days and three nights, according to the Scriptures.
(Mattityahu 12:40; Acts 3:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
** He has ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of Avinu Elohei.
(Luke 24:51; Ivrim 1:13).
** He is now our Rabbi, our Advocate, our Mediator, and our High Priest.
(Ivrim 3:1; 4:14).
4. RUACH HAKODESH
The Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) is the invisible dynamic force, breath, power, and spirit that emanates from the Father and is shared by the Son.
“And see, I am sending the Promise of My Father upon you. But you are to remain in the city of Yerushalayim until you are clothed with power from on high.”
TS2009 — Luqas (Luke) 24:49
Additional Scriptures:
Luke 24:49; Yochanan (John) 3:8; 14:17; 15:26; 1 Corinthians 2:10–16.
** YHVH's invisible essence and power is placed within the believer through the Son. It is given by the laying on of hands after water immersion into Y’hoshua’s saving Name, and this is called the baptism of the Spirit (Acts 2:38), immersing us into the Kingdom of Elohei and grafting us into Yisrael (Romans 11). A sure evidence of the Ruach is speaking in other tongues.
Kefa answered them, “Turn from sin, return to God, and be immersed, each of you, in the name of Yeshua the Messiah, to have your sins forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh.”
CJB — Acts 2:38
Additional Scriptures:
Acts 2:33; Titus 3:6; Acts 2:38; 5:32; 8:17; 19:6; 1 Timotiyos 4:14; 2 Timotiyos 1:6; Romans 8:15–17; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:28; Acts 2:4; 10:44–46; 19:6; Yochanan 3:8.
** Through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh placed within us, we demonstrate our love for Y’hoshua and Avinu Elohei by joyfully keeping TORAH—His instructions.
“He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me.”
TS2009 — Yoḥanan (John) 14:21.
Additional Scriptures:
Yochanan 14:15; 14:21–24; Acts 1:8; 1 Yochanan 2:5.
** The Ruach HaKodesh does not have a personal name like the Father and Son and is likened to the wind or breath, not a third person of a Trinitarian godhead. It is the breath of the Living Elohim.
The doctrine of the Trinity originates from the teachings of men and contradicts YHVH’s Torah.
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it’s going. That’s how it is with everyone who has been born from the Spirit.”
CJB — Yochanan (John) 3:8.
Additional Scriptures:
Yochanan 3:8; Yochanan 20:22; Acts 10:45; D’varim 6:4; Markos 12:29.
5. TEVILAH (BAPTISM)
** After true teshuvah (repentance), tevilah by immersion in water and into the saving Name of Y’hoshua HaMashiach is a necessary act of consecration.
Kefa answered them, “Turn from sin, return to God, and be immersed, each of you, in the name of Yeshua the Messiah, to have your sins forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh.”
CJB — Acts 2:38
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 3:13–17; Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:16; 10:43; 19:5; Romans 6:3.
** Salvation is in no other name than יְהוֹשֻׁעַ — Y’hoshua.
There is salvation in no one else! For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by whom we must be saved!
CJB — Acts 4:12
“And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name יהושׁע Y’hoshua for He shall save His people from their sins.”
TS2009 Mattithyahu (Matthew) 1:21.
** Tevilah is by immersion, one time in water.
“…be immersed, each of you, in the name of Yeshua the Messiah…”
CJB — Acts 2:38
** Tevilah pictures the subjugation and burial of the old carnal nature.
Through immersion we were buried with him into death; so that just as the Messiah was raised from the dead… we too might live a new life.
CJB — Romans 6:4
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 6:3–5; Colossians 2:12.
** Tevilah declares that we arise to serve in newness of life by His Spirit.
This also prefigures what delivers us now—the water of immersion… it saves through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah.
CJB — 1 Kefa (1 Peter) 3:21
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 7:6; Romans 12:1; 1 Peter 3:21.
** There is one Tevilah into the one true saving Name of Y’hoshua HaMashiach, placing us into one Body and uniting the many-membered Body through the Spirit into the one true faith.
One body and one Spirit… one Master, one belief, one immersion, one Elohim and Father of all…
TS2009 — Eph’siyim (Ephesians) 4:4–6
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 12:5; Ephesians 4:3–6; 1 Corinthians 12:12–14.
6. THE TORAH (THE FIVE BOOKS OF MOSHE)
** Avinu Elohei’s grand plan of salvation for humanity is only through His Son Y’hoshua HaMashiach and is revealed through observing Avinu Elohei’s holy Sabbath (Shabbat) and Seven Feast Days.
“Tell the people of Israel: ‘The designated times of Adonai which you are to proclaim as holy convocations are My designated times.”
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:2.
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23; Numbers 28–29.
** The sacrificial blood offerings and ritual laws connected with Temple worship are now in abeyance, having found their fulfillment in Y’hoshua, the Lamb of Avinu Elohei.
On the next day Yoḥanan saw יהושע coming toward him, and said, “See, the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world!”
TS2009 — Yoḥanan (John) 1:29
Additional Scriptures:
John 1:29; Hebrews 8–10.
** Now our sacrifices are spiritual, and circumcision has always represented willing obedience from the heart.
I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering—set-apart, well-pleasing to Elohim—your reasonable worship.
TS2009 — Romans 12:1.
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 12:1; Hebrews 13:15–16; 1 Peter 2:5; Deuteronomy 10:16; 30:6–8; Jeremiah 4:4; 1 Corinthians 7:19; Galatians 5:6; Philippians 3:3.
** It is now possible, through the Ruach HaKodesh residing within, to keep His Commandments through faith in Him.
“Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.”
CJB — Mattityahu (Matthew) 5:17
Additional Scriptures:
Deuteronomy 7:9; Psalm 119:160; Matthew 5:17–19; 19:16–19; Ephesians 2:8–10; 1 John 1:1–5; 1 John 3:21–24.
7. SHABBAT (HEBREW) SABBATH (ENGLISH)
** The seventh day of the week (called Saturday) is the day Avinu Elohei has set apart and is a memorial of His omnipotent creative power.
And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work… And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart…
TS2009 — Berĕshith (Genesis) 2:2–3
** Shabbat is a holy day of rest.
“Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God.”
CJB — Shemot (Exodus) 20:8
Additional Scriptures:
Exodus 20:8–11.
** The Shabbat points toward the greater Millennial rest of salvation.
Let us be careful, therefore, not to be found to have fallen short of entering His rest…
CJB — Hebrews (Ivrim) 4:1
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 11:28–30; Luke 4:16–18; Hebrews 4:1–6.
** Avinu Elohei freely offers the Shabbat as an opportunity to accept and experience His marvelous creation and redemption.
Then He said to them, “Shabbat was made for mankind, not mankind for Shabbat.”
CJB — Markos (Mark) 2:27
Additional Scriptures:
Mark 2:27–28; Hebrews 4:7–11.
** By participating in the Shabbat, we express our belief in Avinu Elohei as the Creator, and in His Son Y’hoshua as the Author and Finisher of our salvation.
…keeping our eyes fixed on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of our trust…
CJB — Hebrews (Ivrim) 12:2
** The Shabbat rest is a symbol of our love, loyalty, and commitment to Avinu Elohei.
“You are to speak to the people of Israel and say: ‘You must observe My Shabbats… it is a sign between Me and you…"
CJB — Shemot (Exodus) 31:13
** By consecrating the time He designated for our rest and worship, we show our subjection to His will and recognize His dominion over our life and over creation.
A “Shabbat rest” remains for His people, a day of delight and not a day of work.
So there remains a Shabbat-keeping for God’s people.
CJB — Ivrim (Hebrews) 4:9
Additional Scriptures:
Hebrews 4:9; Isaiah 58:13.
8. PESACH (PASSOVER)
** The commemoration of the precious sacrifice of Y’hoshua HaMashiach is observed annually on the evening (beginning) of the 14th of Abib, as the 13th ends, following the pattern of the original Passover in Egypt when the death angel passed over at midnight on the 14th.
“The blood will serve you as a sign on the houses where you are; when I see the blood, I will pass over you…”
CJB — Shemot (Exodus) 12:13
** In humbly partaking of the Passover, we witness that we accept the shed blood of our loving Savior for our sins.
“…This is My body which is broken for you… This cup is the renewed covenant in My blood…”
TS2009 — 1 Corinthians 11:24–25
Additional Scriptures:
Numbers 28:16; Luke 22:15–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–29.
** The symbols used are those instituted by Y’hoshua: unleavened bread, representing His broken body, and the fruit of the vine, symbolizing His shed blood.
And taking the cup… saying, “This is My blood, that of the renewed covenant…”
TS2009 — Mattithyahu (Matthew) 26:27–28
Additional Scriptures:
Exodus 23:18; 1 Corinthians 10:16; Deuteronomy 32:14; Isaiah 65:8–9; Matthew 26:27–29.
** Our love for Y’hoshua and humility toward the brethren is also expressed in the foot-washing ceremony as directed by our Savior and Redeemer.
“If I, the Lord and Rabbi, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other’s feet. For I have set you an example…”
CJB — Yochanan (John) 13:14–15
9. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
** After partaking of the Passover, we strive to live a sin-free life of obedience as we observe the seven days of Unleavened Bread.
And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Matzoth to יהוה—seven days you eat unleavened bread.
TS2009 — Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:6
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:6; Matthew 16:12; Mark 8:14–15; Luke 12:1; Romans 6:13–22;
1 Corinthians 5:6–8.
** This Feast symbolizes the initial step toward righteousness and coming out of sin. The first day, the 15th of Abib, is a Shabbat and marks the beginning of the festival.
The seventh day, Abib 21, is also a Shabbat and points to the complete departure from sin, walking in the righteousness of our Savior Y’hoshua HaMashiach.
Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread… whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisra’ĕl.
TS2009 — Shemoth (Exodus) 12:15
Additional Scriptures:
Exodus 12:15, 20; Numbers 28:17–25; Acts 20:6–7.
** We gladly remove all leaven from our homes for seven days as a reminder to cleanse ourselves from false doctrine, which leads to sin.
By physical obedience, we learn spiritual truth.
Unleavened bread is eaten for all seven days, symbolizing taking in the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Get rid of the old hametz… let us celebrate the Seder not with leftover hametz… but with the matzah of purity and truth.
CJB — 1 Corinthians 5:7–8
10. SHAVUOT (PENTECOST)
** The day of Shavuot (Pentecost), also called the Feast of Weeks, is a High Sabbath and the third annual moedim, a very special convocation.
It is counted from the day after the weekly Sabbath that falls during the Feast of Unleavened Bread:
Seven Sabbaths (seven complete weeks) are counted, bringing us to the day after the weekly Sabbath — the first day of the week.
Shavuot is observed as a memorial of the day Avinu Elohei made the covenant with Yisrael at Sinai.
“From the day after the day of rest… count seven full weeks; until the day after the seventh week you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to Adonai.”
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:15–16
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:15–21; Numbers 28:26; Exodus 24:4–8.
** Shavuot is the day Y’hoshua promised He would endue His assembly with power from on High, a promise fulfilled when Avinu Elohei sent the Ruach HaKodesh on Pentecost, to abide with His people forever.
The festival of Shavu‘ot arrived… Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind… and they were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh…
CJB — Acts 2:1–4
Additional Scriptures:
Luke 24:49; John 14:26; John 15:26; Acts 1:4–8; Acts 2:1–18; John 14:16.
** Pentecost (Feast of Firstfruits) points to the initial harvest of souls, a people who are a kind of firstfruits unto Avinu Elohei.
In fulfillment of His own purpose, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.
CJB — Ya‘akov (James) 1:18
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 8:23; 11:16; 16:5; 1 Corinthians 15:20–23; 16:15; James 1:18; Revelation 14:4.
11. YOM TERUAH (DAY OF TRUMPETS)
** We eagerly look for the return of Y’hoshua HaMashiach, our yeshuah, for at the sound of the last trumpet and the voice of the archangel, we shall receive our reward.
For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise… and we will be with the Lord forever.
CJB — 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
Additional Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:22–23, 51–53; 1 Thessalonians 4:14–17; 1 Peter 5:4; Revelation 2:23; Revelation 22:12.
** Yom Teruah is the fourth of the annual moedim.
It begins in the seventh month and is a holy convocation, reminding us to keep our minds on heavenly things and to rejoice at the return of our Savior at the last trumpet.
“In the seventh month, the first of the month is to be for you a day of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation announced with blasts on the shofar.”
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:24
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:24–25; Luke 21:27–28.
** The blowing of the trumpets reminds us of the ancient signal calling Israel to assemble, to prepare for journeying, and to sound an alarm for war.
“Make two silver trumpets… and when they blow both of them, all the congregation shall assemble before you…”
TS2009 — B’midbar (Numbers) 10:2
Additional Scriptures:
Numbers 10:1–10.
12. YOM KIPPUR (DAY OF ATONEMENT)
The Day of Atonement points to Y’hoshua’s atoning work for us.
We have been reconciled to Avinu Elohei through Y’hoshua.
For if, being enemies, we were restored to favor with Elohim through the death of His Son, much more, having been restored to favor, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in Elohim through our Master יהושע Messiah…
TS2009 — Romans 5:10–11
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 5:6–11; 2 Corinthians 5:18–21; Colossians 1:19–22; Hebrews 2:18.
** We joyfully tell others of His glorious work. This sacred day begins as the ninth day of the seventh month ends at sunset, and the new day begins.
It is to be a Shabbat of complete rest for you, and you are to deny yourselves. You are to rest from evening to evening, from the ninth day of the month to the following evening.
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:32
** We neither eat nor drink for 24 hours — from sunset on the ninth to sunset on the tenth of the month. This observance reminds us of our human frailty and our deep need for Y’hoshua’s atoning sacrifice.
We also look forward to the future destruction of Satan and the world’s being at one with HaMashiach and Avinu Elohei.
Atonement is the fifth annual moedim and marks the arrival of the Jubilee year. Historically, it is the holiest day of the year.
It is a permanent regulation for you that on the tenth day of the seventh month you are to deny yourselves and not do any kind of work…
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 16:29
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 16:29–31; Leviticus 23:27–32; Numbers 29:7; Hebrews 2:14; Acts 27:9; Revelation 20:1–3.
13. SUKKOT (FEAST OF TABERNACLES)
** Sukkot points to the righteous one-thousand-year reign of our soon-coming King, Y’hoshua Ben Y’hovah.
And it shall be that all who are left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, יהוה of hosts, and to observe the Festival of Sukkot.
TS2009 — Zekaryah (Zechariah) 14:16
** A time of peace, prosperity, and joy shall prevail when Y’hoshua rules by TORAH. Studying all Scripture (2 Timothy 3:14–17) and coming to worship before Him at the Feast of Tabernacles demonstrates our faith in Avinu Elohei’s eventual sovereignty over the entire earth.
All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim might be fitted, equipped for every good work.
TS2009 — 2 Timotiyos 3:16–17
** Sukkot is a commanded Assembly in the place where Avinu Elohei has put His Name. It is observed for seven days, beginning on the 15th day of the seventh month (Tishri 15–21).
The first day is the sixth Annual Moed.
The Sabbatical–Jubilee cycle also points to Avinu Elohei’s plan of redemption and our entrance into His rest.
“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to יהוה.’ "
TS2009 Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:34
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:34–36, 43; Numbers 29:12.
14. THE EIGHTH DAY
** The Appointed Time, the Feast of the Eighth Day, is the seventh Annual Moed.
“On the eighth day you are to have a holy convocation… it is a day of public assembly; do not do any kind of ordinary work.”
CJB — Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:36
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:36; Numbers 29:35–39; Nehemiah 8:18.
** The Feast of the Eighth Day portrays the time of the White Throne Judgment after Y’hoshua’s thousand-year reign.
After evil is consumed in the Lake of Fire, the Eighth Day signifies Eternity, when time as humanity knows it ceases.
It represents the moment of:
- a New Heaven and a New Earth,
- all things made new,
- the New Jerusalem descending from Avinu Elohei,
- and Y’hovah Himself tabernacling with humanity.
Eternal life, represented by the Eighth Day, will be granted to those who endure to the end, keeping the Commandments of Elohim and the faith of Y’hoshua.
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth… And I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “See! God’s Sh’khinah is with mankind, and He will live with them…”
CJB — Revelation 21:1–3
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 25:32; Revelation 20:10, 14, 15; Isaiah 66:22; Revelation 21:1–5; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 14:12.
15. NEW MOON
** The Scriptural months are delineated by the appearance of the thin crescent of the visible new moon in [Yerushalayim] (יְרוּשָׁלַיִם).
Blow the ram’s horn at the time of the New Moon, at the full moon, on our festival day.
TS2009 — Tehillim (Psalm) 81:3
Additional Scriptures:
2 Kings 4:23; Nehemiah 10:33; Psalm 81:3.
** Scripture indicates that each new moon day begins from the location where the new moon is actually sighted for that month. New moons will be kept in the Kingdom.
“And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה.
TS2009 — Yesha‘yahu (Isaiah) 66:23
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 23:32; Judges 14:12, 18; Mark 1:32; Isaiah 66:23.
16. SIN
** Sin is the transgression (breaking) of Avinu Elohei’s TORAH.
Living without TORAH is called lawlessness. Without TORAH sin cannot be defined. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Avinu Elohei. He who knows what is right and does it not to him it is sin.
Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah—indeed, sin is violation of Torah.
CJB — 1 Yochanan (1 John) 3:4
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 7:7–12; Exodus 20:1–20; Deuteronomy 5:1–24; Romans 3:23.
** The penalty of sin is death — returning to the dust.
Death is described in Scripture as a sleep, with no consciousness, until the resurrection and judgment.
For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life in Messiah יהושע our Master.
TS2009 — Romans 6:23
Additional Scriptures:
Genesis 2:16–17; Genesis 3:19; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Hebrews 9:27.
John 11:11–14; Ecclesiastes 9:5–6, 10; Isaiah 38:18; Psalm 115:17.
17. REDEMPTION THROUGH TESHUVAH
** Since all have sinned and earned the penalty of death, it is necessary to teshuvah (repent) — to be genuinely sorry for breaking Avinu Elohei’s Holy Instructions (TORAH), and to change to a life of obedience, following the exemplary life of HaMashiach.
“There is only One who is good; but if you want to obtain eternal life, observe the mitzvot.”
CJB — Mattityahu (Matthew) 19:17
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 19:17; John 8:11; Hebrews 6:1; Hebrews 9:14.
** To be free from the curse of the Torah (which is death), we must teshuvah (“return to YHVH”—the process of repentance in Netzari Judaism) and accept the sacrifice of Y’hoshua HaMashiach as payment for our sins.
He is our Advocate and Mediator with Avinu Elohei.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light… the blood of יהושע Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin.
TS2009 — 1 Yoḥanan (1 John) 1:7
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 26:26–28; Colossians 3:13; Hebrews 9:26; Hebrews 10:12; 1 Peter 2:21–24; 1 John 1:7–10; 1 Timothy 2:3–5.
18. SANCTIFICATION
** Having been cleansed and set apart by the Ruach HaKodesh and the faith of our Rabbi HaGadol, Y’hoshua Ben Y’hovah, we believe it is essential to be clean inside as well as outside.
…be holy yourselves in your entire way of life; since the Tanakh says, “You are to be holy because I am holy.”
CJB — 1 Kefa (1 Peter) 1:15–16
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 5:48; 1 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Revelation 21:27.
** Our body is the temple of the Ruach HaKodesh, and we joyfully adhere to the Torah’s instructions regarding clean meats in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
These commands serve as object lessons in holiness, teaching us to distinguish between clean and unclean, holy and unholy.
We also discipline our thoughts and the influences we permit into our minds — whether through reading, media, social interaction, or daily habits.
We strive to eat clean, think clean, live clean, and be clean and holy before Avinu Elohei, becoming an example to the world.
“Therefore, ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says יהוה, ‘and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you.’ ”
TS2009 — 2 Corinthians 6:17
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 11; Deuteronomy 14; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; 1 Timothy 3:7; Matthew 5:48; 1 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Revelation 21:27.
19. ANOINTING OF THE SICK
** Y’hoshua’s perfect sacrifice has made it possible for us to receive healing from our illnesses.
YHVH my Elohim I have cried to You, and You have healed me.
TS2009 Tehillim (Psalms) 30:2.
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
TS2009 — Yesha‘yahu (Isaiah) 53:5
Additional Scriptures:
Isaiah 53:5; James 5:13–20.
** Through the anointing of the sick by the Elders of the assembly in the Name of Y’hoshua, healing is possible.
We turn to Avinu Elohei first in prayer, relying on Him and His guidance for restoration.
Is someone among you ill? He should call for the congregation’s elders, and they will pray for him and rub olive oil on him in the name of the Lord. The prayer offered with trust will heal the one who is ill…
CJB — James (Ya‘akov) 5:14–15
20. TITHING AND OFFERINGS
** The tithe and offerings belong to Avinu Elohei, not to any ministry, church, reverend, rabbi, or pastor. We give to Avinu Elohei as He directs us.
It is a blessing to honor Avinu Elohei with our substance, as stated in Proverbs 3:9, and to participate in an act of worship through tithes and offerings, as revealed in Leviticus 27:30–33; Malachi 3:8–12; Matthew 23:23; 1 Corinthians 9:1–25; and 2 Corinthians 9:1–15.
We give generously and cheerfully, knowing that Avinu Elohei is generous and will take care of all our needs.
Truly, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Respect יהוה with your possessions, and with the first-fruits of all your increase; then your storehouses shall be filled with plenty, and your vats overflow with new wine.
TS2009 — Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 3:9–10
Additional Scriptures:
Leviticus 27:30–33; Malachi 3:8–12; Matthew 23:23; 1 Corinthians 9:1–25; 2 Corinthians 9:1–15.
21. THE ADVERSARY
** Satan is a spirit being who was once the anointed cherub called Lucifer.
Because his heart was lifted up in pride, he was cast out of heaven.
Yeshua said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”
CJB — Luke 10:18
Additional Scriptures:
Isaiah 14:12–20; Ezekiel 28:13–19; Luke 10:18; Revelation 12:7–9.
** The Devil is the adversary of Avinu Elohei and of His people.
He accuses, deceives, and opposes, but he will ultimately be destroyed.
…so that through His death He might destroy the one who had the power of death—that is, the Adversary.
CJB — Hebrews 2:14
Additional Scriptures:
John 8:44; Revelation 12:10; Isaiah 14:18–19; Ezekiel 28:16; Romans 16:20; Hebrews 2:14.
** Satan attempts to thwart the establishment of Avinu Elohei’s Kingdom.
But through the Ruach HaKodesh and Avinu’s help, we can resist the Devil, and he will flee.
Therefore, submit to God. Moreover, take a stand against the Adversary, and he will flee from you.
CJB — James (Ya‘akov) 4:7
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 4:1–11; James 4:7.
22. IMMORTALITY
** The dead are unconscious in their graves, in the sleep of death, awaiting the resurrection at the appointed time.
We do not want you to be ignorant about those who have died, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
CJB — 1 Thessalonians 4:13
Additional Scriptures:
Job 14:12–14; Daniel 12:2; John 5:29; 1 Corinthians 15:51–56; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–17; Hebrews 11:13, 39.
** Immortality is not inherent in humanity.
It is something we seek (Romans 2:7) and is given only through the work of Y’hoshua HaMashiach. Only Avinu Elohei possesses immortality by nature.
…but now it has become clear through the appearing of our Deliverer, the Messiah Yeshua, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News.
CJB — 2 Timothy 1:10
Additional Scriptures:
Romans 2:7; 1 Corinthians 15:53–54; John 3:15; John 17:2–3; 2 Timothy 1:10; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Timothy 6:16.
** Humans do not possess an immortal soul.
Souls can die, and death is described as silence, unconsciousness, and cessation — awaiting resurrection.
“All lives belong to Me… the person who sins is the one who will die.”
CJB — Ezekiel 18:4
Additional Scriptures:
Psalms 6:5; 115:17; Isaiah 26:19; Ezekiel 18:4, 20; Matthew 10:28.
23. TALMIDIM (DISCIPLES)
** Y’hoshua יְהוֹשֻׁעַ HaMashiach is the foundation and cornerstone of His Body — the Kedoshim (set-apart ones), the Assembly of believers who have accepted His sacrifice, His resurrection, and who have changed their lives according to Avinu Elohei’s Word.
“Whoever does what My Father in heaven wants, that person is My brother and sister and mother.”
CJB — Mattityahu (Matthew) 12:50
** Through this Body of believers, the training and preparation for the coming Kingdom is taking place, fulfilling Y’hoshua’s commission to make talmidim (disciples).
“Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them in the Name…”
CJB — Mattityahu (Matthew) 28:19
Additional Scriptures:
Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 2:5, 9–10; Revelation 1:6; Revelation 20:6.
** It is within the Kedoshim that the spiritual gifts are exercised — for the perfecting of the talmidim, for the work of ministry, and for the edifying of the Body of Mashiach.
…to equip God’s people for the work of service, to build up the Body of the Messiah…
CJB — Ephesians 4:12
Additional Scriptures:
Ephesians 4:7–13; 1 Corinthians 12:7–10; 12:28–30.
** The Assembly is where the fruit of the Spirit (Ruach) is manifested, and our relationship to one another within the Body of Mashiach is likened to our relationship with Y’hoshua Himself.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self-control…
CJB — Galatians 5:22–23
Additional Scriptures:
Galatians 5:22–23; Matthew 12:50; Matthew 25:40.

GET GRAFTED IN
How to enter the Kingdom of YHVH?
What does that mean? What do I have to do?
A. True and complete teshuvah (repentance), tevilah immersion on the authority of Y'hoshua HaMashiach into forgiveness of your sins, and receiving the Ruach HaKodesh are the steps in getting born again, grafted in to Yisrael, thus entering the Kingdom of YHVH.
By obeying Y'hoshua's command (You must be born again, John 3:7) preached through Kephas/Peter, and you are BORNAGAIN, Acts 2:38..
B. Being Born Again and entering the Kingdom is only the BEGINNING:
Then comes a LIFE-TIME of discipleship, growth in knowledge, and grace in the Son of Y'hovah, HaMashiach Y'hoshua. Each TALMID working out his or her own salvation in fear and trembling, and obedience to the instructions (TORAH) of Avinu Elohei, and bearing fruit which shows true conversion and is expected of all. Philippians 2:12; Ephesians 4:13; 1 John 5:3
C. Each member of the body of Mashiach shall also recognize this as a basic summary of the sound doctrines proclaimed by the Inspired Scriptures.
D. Jude 1:3 Loved ones, though very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I felt it necessary to write to you, urging you to continue to contend for the emunah-faith that was once for all handed down to the kedoshim (set-apart ones).
