"Christianity". . . Born of the Roman "Church" fathers?

Most Christians (who are not outright Roman Catholic) have NO IDEA that the Christian religion they believe in is actually born of Roman Catholicism.

It's true. . .

They do not know their history.

Most Christians believe that their faith is the faith of the direct disciples of Messiah. But that's not the case, or they would be Torah-keepers like the Talmidim or Disciples.

That which calls itself "Christianity" is born of the Roman "Church" fathers, not the disciples of Messiah. For Rome divorced herself from obedience to the Torah of YeHoVaH Elohim-God , and decreed it as ONLY law for the Jews.

(Apparently, they chose to throw out the directive of YHVH that when people are grafted-in to Israel, that they too, are subject to everything Israel is commanded to do by The Almighty, as it says in Exodus 12:49.)

They did that totally by their own decision, by way of twisting the words of the apostle Sha'ul/Paul, and by ignoring the warning of Kefa/Peter to not do that very thing:

15  And reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him, 
16  as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures.
17  You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, 
18  but grow in the favour and knowledge of our Master and Saviour יהושע Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Aměn.
2 Peter 3:15-18

The thousands of Christian denominations are daughters of Rome. Plain and simple. Their beliefs and traditions attest to it.

The term "Protestant" literally means "protesting Catholic". The Protestant Reformation only came part way out of Roman Catholicism, but still holds to several basic unscriptural tenets of their mother.

Here is only one of those tenets: That the Shabbat-Sabbath day is SUNday. There is absolutely NO SCRIPTURAL directive for the change.

Not one!

The SUNday sabbath is a Roman Catholic decree made on and by their own sense of authority. When you know the Roman Catholic history, then you can easily understand why the "day of the SUN" was chosen for their sabbath day.

It is not my intention to write about the history of Roman Catholic/Christianity church here, but rather to encourage the reader to research for him/herself.

It is not hard or complicated. . . or hidden.

But just to prove the point regarding SUNday sabbath, here are just a few admissions of how the change from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day of the week came about:

• “We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church in the Council of Laodicea (364 AD) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.” (The Converts Catechism, Peter Giermann, page 50. This catechism received the pope’sdroppedImage blessing on January 25, 1910)

• “The Church changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday by right of the divine, infallible authority given to her by her founder, Jesus Christ. The Protestant claiming the Bible to be the only guide of faith, has no warrant for observing Sunday.” (The Catholic Universe Bulletin, August 14, 1942, page 4)

• “Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claims to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles… From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first.” (The Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August, 1900)

• “It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” (Priest Brady, in an address at Elizabeth, New Jersey on March 17, 1903. Reported in the Elizabeth, New Jersey News of March 18, 1903)

• “The [Catholic] church took the pagan philosophy and made it the buckler of faith against the heathen. She took the pagan Roman Pantheon, temple of all the gods, and made it sacred to all the martyrs; so it stands to this day. She took the pagan Sunday and made it the Christian Sunday. She took the pagan Easter and made it the feast we celebrate during this season… The Sun was a foremost god with heathendom… The sun has worshipers at this hour in Persian and other lands… Hence the Church would seem to say, ‘Keep that old pagan name [Sunday]. It shall remain consecrated, sanctified.’ And thus the pagan Sunday, dedicated to Balder, became the Christian Sunday, sacred to Jesus.” (William L Gildea, “Paschale Gaudium,” in The Catholic World, 58, March, 1894, page 809 [Roman Catholic])

• American Catholic Quarterly Review (Jan 1883)“Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the church, has no good reason for its Sunday theory, and ought, logically, to keep Saturday with the Jews.”A Doctrinal Catechism (p. 174)

• “Sunday is our mark of authority…The church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.”Letter from C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons on October 28, 1895.

You simply should want to know WHY you do what you do, how it came about and why it is perpetuated. In other words, you have to have it within you to WANT to know the truth.Questions need to be answered.

Questions like:

• Why and by whom was SUNday sabbath instituted?

• Why is December 25th the chosen date of Messiah's birth?

• Is the name "Jesus" really the English translation of His Hebrew name, "Yehoshua / Yeshua? And where did the name "Jesus" come from?

• Why does Christianity ignore the Feasts and appointed times of YHVH?

• Why does Christianity keep instead, the holidays born of pagan festivals that have been re-named and re-purposed?

All these questions (and more) have very definite answers.

Again, not hard to research, nor hidden. All it takes is for a person to WANT to know, and decide if deviations from the Word of Elohim are acceptable to them.

The first questions you need to ask of yourself are:

DO I WANT THE TRUTH?

DO I LOVE TRUTH?

DO I REGARD TRUTH ABOVE TRADITIONS AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF PEOPLE/SOCIETY?

DOES TRUTH MATTER TO THE ALMIGHTY?

Some may even say, "Well, Christianity is the largest religion on the earth! Over 2.5 BILLION Christians! So very many! They cannot ALL be wrong all these centuries!

"Really?

Yeshua said differently:

13 Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and 𝐅𝐄𝐖 there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14

21 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
