You must be BORN AGAIN!
A. True and full repentance, immersion/baptism on the authority of Yehoshua HaMashiach into forgiveness of your sins, and receiving of the Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit are the steps in becoming a member of the Body of the Messiah.
In Acts 2:38. by obeying Yehoshua's command preached through Kephas/Peter and you are BORNAGAIN. John 3:7

Then comes a LIFE-TIME of growth in knowledge and grace in the son of Yehovah the Messiah Yehoshua. We the (Netzari Talmidim), use the Father's personal name written more than 6,825 times in the Hebrew scriptures as YHVH/יהוה. We use his proposed pronunciation with vowels as Yehovah/יְהוָֹה. We also use Father or Abba (which Messiah used) in prayer or bible study and his general names of Elohim in place of God, Adonai in place of Lord.
Hebrew names have meaning. Being a Jew, Messiah's true Hebrew name Yehoshua/יְהוֹשֻׁעַ, means "YHVH is salvation." Others use the Aramaic name Yeshua/יֵשׁוּעַ which means salvation.
We do not use the Greco-Roman-English name of Iesous-Iesus-Jesus, which has NO MEANING at all.

Mans Disobedience
When Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, Yehovah provided everything that they needed, including full access to Him. (Genesis 1:28-29)
In the garden, Elohim gave Adam only one commandment. Elohim forbade Adam from eating from the tree of knowledge of the good and evil (Genesis 2:16).
After Eve had been deceived by the serpent, causing her to eat from the forbidden tree, she offered the fruit of the tree to Adam. As a result of their disobedience, God cursed the serpent (Genesis 3:14). Yehovah then told Eve that He would multiply her sorrow and that she would conceive in sorrow. And because Adam listened to his wife and disobeyed, Elohim cursed the ground forcing Adam to toil and labor for provisions (Genesis 3:16-19).
Yehovah is holy and disobedience is sin. Sin separates humanity from Yehovah (God) (Isaiah 59:2), leading to spiritual death (Romans 6:23). Because of their disobedience, Adam and Eve became separated from Elohim as they were forced out of the garden (Genesis 3:23-24).
YeHoVaH desires our obedience
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the YHVH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might
Deuteronomy 11:1 Therefore you shall love Yehovah your Elohim, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His Mitzvot-commandments always.
Jeremiah 7:23 Rather, what I did order them was this: ‘Pay attention to what I say. Then I will be your YHVH-Elohim, and you will be my people. In everything, live according to the way that I order you, so that things will go well for you.’
The Result - God's Judgment and Mercy
Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
As YHVH cursed the serpent, humanities redemption through the offspring of the woman was established. The offspring of the woman would be bruised by Satan’s attacks, “bruise his heel”, but ultimately, Satan would be destroyed, “bruise your head”. Genesis 3:15 declares the promise of the Messiah.
The literal translation of the Hebrew word messiah is “anointed”. It comes from the root word “massah” which means to smear or anoint. “Massah” refers to an object smeared with grease or oil for a specific purpose but the word “messiah” refers only to people. Persons elected or given authority for a specific task.

Genesis 3:15 is a declaration of YHVH’s plan, established before the beginning of time of the promised redeemer, Yehoshua the Messiah, who was elected for the specific task of dying for the sins of humanity to fulfill a covenant promise.
The Messiah, would bare our iniquities (1 Peter 2:24), shedding His blood once and for all as a perfect sacrifice, providing humanity a way back to Him (1 Peter 2:25).
YeHoVaH's Redeptive Plan - The New Covenant
Yehoshua was declared as the Savior of the world in the book of Matthew when an angel spoke to Joseph in a dream (Matthew 1:21, 1:23).
Yehoshua came teaching and preaching repentance (Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:14-15). He offered a way back to YHVH through His own blood that Yehoshua shed on the stake.
Yehoshua said to Nicodemus, a religious leader, “unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5).
Yehoshua came as an example for us. As believers in Yehoshua, we must follow His example. Yehoshua died (Mark 14:36, Matthew 27:50-51), was buried (Matthew 27:57-61) and was resurrected (Luke 24: 45-48).
We also must die through repentance, be buried through water immersion in Yehoshua's name, and become resurrected through the receiving of His Spirit (Acts 2:38, Rom 6:4-11).
Acts 2:38 Kefa answered them, “Turn from sin (repent), turn to Yehovah-God, and each of you be immersed on the authority of Yeshua the Messiah into forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh!
In order for Peter to be correct the following must occur .
- Yehoshua had to have taught repentance.
- Yehoshua had to have taught the disciples / Apostles.
- The Apostles had to have taught the same thing.
1. Yehoshua Taught Repentance
Mark 1:15 “The time has come, God’s Kingdom is near! Turn to God from your sins and believe the Good News!”
Matthew 4:17 From that time Yehoshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Luke 13:3 No, I tell you. Rather, unless you turn to YHVH-God from your sins, you will all die as they did!
Luke 13:5 No, I tell you. Rather, unless you turn from your sins, you will all die similarly.”
What is true Repentance?
It is turning from sin, turning towards YeHoVaH and obeying YHVH.
Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins will not succeed;
he who confesses and abandons them will gain mercy.
Who is Yehoshua Calling?
Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the ‘righteous,’ but rather to call sinners to turn to YHVH-God from their sins.”
Mark 2:17 But, hearing the question, Yehoshua answered them, “The ones who need a doctor aren’t the healthy but the sick. I didn’t come to call the ‘righteous’ but sinners!”
Romans 3:10-12 As the Tanakh puts it,
“ There is no one righteous, not even one! No one understands, no one seeks God, all have turned away and at the same time become useless;
there is no one who shows kindness, not a single one!"
Psalms 53:1-3 A brutish fool tells himself, “There isn’t any God.”
Such people are depraved, all their deeds are vile, not one of them does what is good. God looks out from heaven upon the human race to see if even one is wise,
if even one seeks God.
What is Sin?
Transgression of the Law or Torah. Being lawless.
James 4:17 So then, anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it is committing a sin.
Rev 20:6 Sin separates our soul from YHVH-God, which results in – the second death.
Ezekiel 18:4 Look, all lives belong to me — both the parent’s life and the child’s life are equally mine — so it is the person who sins, himself, who must die.
Hebrews 9:27 Just as human beings have to die once, but after this comes judgment,
Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Sh’ol were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death — the lake of fire.
James 1:13-15 No one being tempted should say, “I am being tempted by Elohim.” For Elohim-God cannot be tempted by evil, and Elohim-God himself tempts no one. 14 Rather, each person is being tempted whenever he is being dragged off and enticed by the bait of his own desire. 15 Then, having conceived, the desire gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.

2. Yehoshua Taught The Apostles
Matthew 16:24 Then Yehoshua told his talmidim-disciples, “If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake, and keep following me.
Luke 24:47 And in his name repentance leading to forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed to people from all nations, starting with Yerushalayim.
Mark 2:15-17 As Yehoshua was in Levi’s house eating, many tax-collectors and sinners were sitting with Yehoshua and his talmidim, for there were many of them among his followers
Repentance is a change of heart that leads us to obey Yehovah God (James 4:7)
WORLDLY REPENTANCE vs GODLY REPENTANCE
2 Corinthians 7:10 Pain handled in God’s way produces a turning from sin to God which leads to salvation, and there is nothing to regret in that! But pain handled in the world’s way produces only death.
Psalms 38:2-7 For your arrows penetrate me deeply, and your hand is pressing me down. Your indignation left no part of me intact; my sin made my whole body sick; for my iniquities loom high over my head as a heavy burden, too heavy for me. I have stinking, festering wounds because of my foolishness. I am bent down, prostrate completely; I go about mourning all day long. For my insides burn with fever, and my whole body is sick.
Psalms 38:18 I acknowledge my guilt, I am anxious because of my sin.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Don’t you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God?. . .

3. The Apostles Taught Repentance
Mark 6:12 So they set out and preached that people should turn from sin to YHVH-God. (Mark 6:7-13 )
Acts 3:19 “Therefore, repent and turn to YHVH-God, so that your sins may be erased;
2 Peter 3:9 Adonai-Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some people think of slowness; on the contrary, he is patient with you; for it is not his purpose that anyone should be destroyed, but that everyone should turn from his sins.

The first thing Yehoshua wants us to do is “BELIEVE” – “The Gospel” Mark 16:9-20 (One YHVH)
The next thing Yehoshua wants us to do is “OBEY“ (faith/works) and “is be immersed-baptized”
Hebrews 4:2 for Good News has also been proclaimed to us, just as it was to them. But the message they heard didn’t do them any good, because those who heard it did not combine it with trust.
Ephesians 1:13 Furthermore, you who heard the message of the truth, the Good News offering you deliverance, and put your trust in the Messiah were sealed by him with the promised Ruach HaKodesh,
WHAT IS IMMERSION-BAPTISM ?
Immersion is a burial, where our sins are forgiven by the application of the “blood” through “obedience”. Acknowledging the “old man” is dead and buried.
Romans 6:4 Through immersion into his death we were buried with him; so that just as, through the glory of the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead, likewise we too might live a new life.
Romans 6:4 “Through immersion into his death we were buried with him” – not “THEM”
- If “baptism” is identifying with “His burial” – it’s important to note that only “Yehoshua” was buried.
- The “FATHER”, “SON”, “HOLY GHOST” were “NOT ALL BURIED”
Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh
Yehoshua commanded the “Apostles” to go and “teach all nations” baptizing them in the “name” of Yehoshua ( Luke 24:47, Acts 2:38-39 ).
Hosea 13:4 Still, I am Adonai your YHVH-God, from the land of Egypt;
and you don’t know any YHVH-God but me or, other than me, any Savior.
Jude 1:25 to YHVH-God alone, our Deliverer, through Yehoshua the Messiah, our Adonai-Lord — be glory, majesty, power and authority before all time, now and forever.

The Blood
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

SO HOW DO WE APPLY THE BLOOD TO US, FOR FORGIVENESS OF SINS?

In baptism when you are submerged, the “blood” (spiritually) is applied through His name.

How would we apply His blood physically? (It’s not even there anymore, physically.)

Acts 2:1 The festival of Shavu‘ot-Pentecost arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place.
The annual Jewish festival of Shavuot-Pentecost (feast of weeks) brought many people to Jerusalem from the surrounding country side and from distant nations.
The Apostles Taught Baptism
Acts 2:21 And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai-Lord will be saved..
Acts 8:16 For until then he had not come upon any of them; they had only been immersed into the name of the Adonai-Lord Yehoshua.
Acts 10:48 And he ordered that they be immersed in the name of Yehoshua the Mashiach. Then they asked Kefa to stay on with them for a few days.
Acts 19:3 In that case,” he said, “into what were you immersed?” “The immersion of Yochanan-John,” they answered. 4 Sha’ul said, “Yochanan practiced an immersion in connection with turning from sin to YHVH-God; but he told the people to put their trust in the one who would come after him, that is, in Yehoshua.” 5 On hearing this, they were immersed into the name of the Adonai-Lord Yehoshua;
The apostles never used titles in the Book of “Acts” for immersion/baptism.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward. that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh …

After the talmidim/disciples received the Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Ghost (Acts 2:1-4), Kefa/Peter referenced “Joel”- Tanakh (Acts 2:14-18)
After the initial outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh, the talmidim continued to teach and preach the “Gospel” message and others received the Ruach HaKodesh throughout the book of Acts.
(Acts 2:38, 4:8, 4:31, 5:32, 8:15-17, 9:17, 10:44-47, 11:15-17, 15:8, 19:1-6, 1 Corinthians 6:11)
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Ruach HaKodesh, whom YHVH hath given to them that obey him.
Acts 8:17 then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Ruach HaKodesh
Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Ruach HaKodesh fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Acts 19:2,6 and when Sha’ul placed his hands on them, the Ruach HaKodesh came upon them; so that they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
1. Yehoshua taught the Apostles
John 20:22 Having said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
In John 20:19-22, Yehoshua appears to His disciples who were fearful
(see 2 Timothy 1:7-11) 7 For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline. 8 So don’t be ashamed of bearing testimony to our Lord or to me, his prisoner. On the contrary, accept your share in suffering disgrace for the sake of the Good News. God will give you the strength for it, 9 since he delivered us and called us to a life of holiness as his people. It was not because of our deeds, but because of his own purpose and the grace which he gave to us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. He did this before the beginning of time, 10 but made it public only now through the appearing of our Deliverer, the Messiah Yeshua, who abolished death and, through the Good News, revealed life and immortality. 11 It was for this Good News that I was appointed a proclaimer, emissary and teacher of the Goyim;
Yehoshua Instructs the disciples to go to Jerusalem and not leave until…
Luke 24:49 Now I am sending forth upon you what my Father promised, so stay here in the city (Jerusalem) until you have been equipped with power from above.
The disciples were instructed to tarry in the city of Yerushalayim until they were empowered.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh comes upon you; you will be my witnesses both in Yerushalayim and in all Y’hudah and Shomron, indeed to the ends of the earth!
In verse Acts 1:12 they journeyed to Jerusalem
Acts 2:1-2 The festival of Shavu‘ot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place. 2 Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
In John 3:8, Yehoshua used the wind in his example of being filled and the sound you would hear.
John 3:8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it’s going. That’s how it is with everyone who has been born from the Spirit.
Acts 2:3-4 3 Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. 4 They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to talk in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
